Kings & Kweens: The Date Night Podcast

A New Kind Of Dating Show

Today we're talking about a local dating show that's just a few seasons away from getting it's own Netflix special.

Kings & Kweens is the perfect blend of drama, humor, and cringe, as contestants hope to find love on a podcast.

Step aside, Bachelor Nation. There's a new dating show in town and it's taking Minneapolis by storm.

Think speed dating meets the Bachelor but on a podcast and in-front of a live audience.

How It Works

Each week, a new King or Kween takes center stage in hopes of finding love on a podcast. But here's the catch, they only have 10 minutes to date three hopeful contestants who are all fighting for a second date. The pressure is on for both parties, as they try to make a great first impression.

The audience is also a major part of the show. With their headphones on, they get to eavesdrop on all the juicy details and are encouraged to react however they please. Whether it's a clever one-liner that deserves a cheer, an awkward moment that makes everyone cringe, or a completely out of pocket comment that deserves a loud boo, audience engagement is strongly encouraged.

At the end of the night, contestants line up and the King or Queen makes the big decision - who will they pick for their second date!

What's All The Buzz About?

In just a few years Kings & Kweens has grown from a small production team audience of a handful of people to sell out shows with 300+ attendees. They even took their show on the road and sold out back-to-back nights in Denver this winter.

So what's all the buzz about? Well, for starters, the contestants love it because it's a fun way to meet new people and put themselves out there. And for the audience, who doesn't love to come out and see their friends or people they know in the hot seat?

Each show is packed with friends of the contestants coming out to show their support. The atmosphere has also become a great place for singles to mingle and meet new people. You don't have to go on the show to find love. Your future bf or gf might be sitting in the audience right next to you.

In the end, it all comes down to one simple thing: people love Kings & Kweens because it brings them together. Whether it's the contestants meeting new people and putting themselves out there, the audience members cheering on their friends or mingling with other singles, or the team behind the scenes working tirelessly to make it all happen, Kings & Kweens is a testament to the power of connection.

Know Before You Go:

Never been to a show? Here's what to know:

First and foremost, make sure you arrive early to get your tickets and a pair of headphones before they sell out.

As for parking, street parking can be a bit of a nightmare, so we recommend the parking ramp across the street. It's convenient, and you won't have to worry about circling around for a spot.

And if you get hungry, there's a 20% discount on your order at Avocadish if you mention your with the pod.

Whether you're looking for love, friendship, or just a good time, this show has something for everyone and is a must see this spring.
